Zoom H4n Mobile 4-Track Recorder
We initially started using these when we had the issue of not being able to monitor audio through our DSLR’s (now we can, with the Nikon D4 and D800). However, we still find a great use for it, as you always want to record multiple audio tracks, and you have a lot more audio control via the Zoom, than through most cameras.

Litepanels MicroPro LED Dimmable 5600K Video Light
The perfect battery-operated light, when you’re working quick. It’s dimmable, and comes with a couple of gels/frost to blend it into the scene. Works well on-camera, as a little kick of light, or in, close to your subject.
